Podiatry

Your feet are the foundation of how you move. When something is not working — heel pain, an ingrown toenail, or a biomechanical issue — it can affect how you walk, train and feel. Our podiatrists assess the whole picture, not just the symptom.

Ingrown toenails

Ingrown toenails can be painful and tend to worsen if left alone. Our podiatrists provide careful nail care, pressure relief, and where appropriate, minor procedures to help stop the problem returning. Early treatment can reduce pain and lower the risk of infection.

Custom orthotics

Custom foot orthotics can help support and guide the foot during movement. We prescribe them only when appropriate, designed around your foot structure, movement patterns and activity level — commonly used to help manage conditions like plantar fasciitis, Achilles pain, and foot-related knee pain.

Running gait assessment

Sports podiatry & gait analysis

For runners and active people, small issues in the feet can lead to problems in the knees, hips or lower back. Using gait analysis and clinical assessment, we look at your biomechanics, load distribution, footwear and movement patterns, and build a plan to help keep you moving.

What to expect

No two visits are the same, but here is the shape of a first appointment.
• A discussion of your symptoms and history
• A foot and lower-limb examination
• Movement and gait assessment
• A clear explanation of what is going on
• A personalised plan — hands-on care, footwear advice, strengthening or orthotics where appropriate

Common questions

Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?

No. Podiatry is a primary-contact profession, so you can book directly. A referral may still matter for certain funding, such as a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan, DVA or NDIS.

Can I claim on private health or Medicare?

Most private health extras include podiatry — check your level of cover and any limits. Medicare contributes only in specific cases, usually through a GP-arranged Chronic Disease Management plan.

How long is an appointment?

Initial appointments usually run longer than follow-ups so we can assess thoroughly and build your plan. We’ll confirm timing when you book.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Comfortable clothing you can move in, any relevant scans or referrals, and your private health or funding details. Arriving a few minutes early helps with any forms.
